Our Team
Maureen Begadon
MA REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPY, DIP ART THERAPY, HCPC REGISTERED, PSYCHODYNAMIC PSYCHOTHERAPY, BPC REGISTERED.
Maureen is a psychotherapist and art therapist who has over 30 years experience of working in mental health settings. She spent 23 years working as part of a local NHS CAMHS team, working with a wide range of mental health presentations. She specialised in Parent Infant Psychotherapy work for the latter part of her career in the NHS.
After retiring from the NHS, Maureen set up a small private psychotherapy practice, alongside working as a seminar leader and supervisor. She now provides individual psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults and is a member of The Severnside Institute of Psychotherapy.
Maureen believes that psychotherapy comes into its own when our usual ways of dealing with things are not working sufficiently well. Psychotherapy offers a non-judgemental and confidential setting into which individuals can bring aspects of themselves and their difficulties. The aim of the work is to increase understanding and self- awareness, which in turn can bring new possibilities and choices.
